Orientation Intern
The Orientation Intern is responsible for planning, developing, and implementing content for orientation programming. With a focus on program logistics, the Orientation Intern will be involved in planning for Spring Transfer programming (January), and summer programming for new student and parent and family programs.
Welcome Week Intern
The Welcome Week intern will help manage the operational components that include planning, training, and execution of the Welcome Week program. This position reports directly to the Assistant Director of Welcome Week.
Student Transition Experience Intern
The Student Transition Experience Interns are responsible for the development and implementation of programs and communications serving first-year, transfer and second-year students. Specific duties will be divided between both Student Transition Experience Interns. This position reports to the Assistant Director of Transition Programs and Special Populations.
Design Intern
The Design Intern will assist with many projects related to New Student Orientation, Welcome Week, and other first-year programs. The ideal candidate should possess exceptional graphic design skills, a strong interest in communication strategy, and the desire to build on your experience as a communications professional.
Digital Media Intern
Orientation & Transition Experiences (OTE) is seeking a digital media intern to help strengthen OTE’s presence in the areas of social media and app-based communication.
Office Assistant (OA)
The Office Assistant plays a crucial role in our office. The responsibilities of this position include receptionist and information referral point for new students, parents, office staff and University departments.
Transfer Student Leader
Transfer Student Leaders (TSLs) assist Orientation staff in leading Transfer Orientation and Transfer Welcome Days.
Orientation Program Assistant
The Orientation Program Assistant will assist in all aspects of Freshman Orientation and Welcome Week, including room set-up, program technical needs, supply management, check-in, luggage, accommodations, assisting new students and guests, supporting Orientation Leaders and Coordinators as needed, narrating Pieces of the Puzzle, and other projects as assigned.
Orientation Leader (OL)
The Orientation Leaders administer a successful New Student Orientation and Welcome Week, all focused on providing a quality transitional experience for new students.
Operations Crew
The Operations Crew plays a crucial role in our office. This paid, leadership experience helps to ensure the success of Welcome Week (WW) from the front lines and behind the scenes. Members of the Operations Crew have strength in providing excellent customer service, managing details and logistics, and are committed to the success of new students.
