Welcome Week Transfer Track

Wednesday, August 28 - Saturday, August 31, 2024

Welcome Week is the next step (after New Student Orientation) in your transition to the University of Minnesota. You will meet fellow new students, spend time with your college of enrollment, learn more about U of M, and explore the Twin Cities community. Welcome Week will help you feel more comfortable and confident as you start your experience at the U and begin classes, not to mention it is a lot of fun! You will get to participate in key campus traditions including Pride & Spirit (featuring the annual “M” photo on the football field) and more!

Transfer students are highly encouraged to participate as much as they are able to during Welcome Week. Students who participate in Welcome Week report having an easier time navigating campus and feeling more confident during their first semester on campus.

Welcome Week Registration

Welcome Week Registration is an online inventory to help introduce you to your Welcome Week schedule. Throughout the inventory, you will be asked a series of questions about your preferences for specific events during Welcome Week. Your responses will allow us to create the personalized schedule that you will receive at Welcome Week Check-in.

Welcome Week Registration will launch in July 2024. If you do not complete your registration a Welcome Week schedule will be created for you. If you have questions about what you selected, ask your Transfer Student Leaders when you meet them at your first small group meeting Wednesday, August 28. If you experience technical difficulties with the Welcome Week Registration, please contact OTE during regular office hours.
