Your Gopher Transition for Orientation

Orientation & Transition Experiences is here to support you in your transition to the University of Minnesota. From completing your New Student Checklist to participating in Orientation, our goal is to provide you with information, experiences, and resources to help you succeed in your time at the U of M.

New Student Checklist

Once you receive your New Student Checklist email you should complete the Tell Us About Yourself survey and select an Orientation date. It will also list any other college-specific tasks to prepare you for Orientation and the start of the academic year. You will receive an email in May to complete other required checklist steps.

Welcome Week

Welcome Week is a fun week-long event that focuses on finding connections and community, navigating campus, taking part in traditions, and preparing for the semester ahead. Attending Welcome Week events is not required for Transfer students, but is strongly encouraged.
